I don't know about you but ever since becoming a Christian I've been struggling with Why Does God Love US?
I've been thinking if God is so AWESOME why would he want anything to do with us on a Personal level (Relationship with Jesus)? The answer to this question came to me while listening to a Lecture serious provided by Hillsdale College with C.S. Lewis as the major instructor, and the information covered in Mr. Lewis' book or radio series Mere Christianity. I will attach a link to this study (Click on the words underlined) and the YouTube Video doodles from C.S. Lewis Doodles.
My understanding of Why and How God makes an effort to have a relationship with us (might be different than yours) is by sending His Son (Jesus) into the world to show us Himself and How He feels for us. When Jesus gave pieces of bread and a sip of wine to His Disciples at the "Last Supper", and explained that the bread and wine demonstrated His body and blood, and that if they ate these we were demonstrating to God that we would be taking Jesus (God) into ourselves, and by this becoming His people, and wanting to follow Him and His Way of living. - John 3:16
God had tried other ways to make this message, He loves us, clear with humans in the past but it did not sink into those people. By demonstrating this new method to these 12 people (disciples) at this table, and then sending these people out into the world to teach this lesson (and everything else He had taught them), Jesus would be reaching everybody on Earth. Jesus also showed His love by healing people of different physical problems while He was on Earth. This message is still being shared by Christians even to this day.
Now ask yourself... Have you told someone what God/Jesus thinks of us? Are you spreading His message? If not, pray that you will be shown someone that needs to hear the message that Jesus loves us. If you need more confidence to share the message I suggest you pick up a Bible and read it from cover to cover so that you're prepared to share.
