Heart Like God's

After learning what Jesus did for us I wanted to have a Heart Like Jesus or God. One story that really sticks out to me from the Bible is the story of David and how he had a heart that God knew could accomplish great things and that's why God made David His representative. From when David was very young David defeated a giant to show others that what's important is what's in your heart and not the size of a person.
In the Book 1 Samual (17:34) David told Saul that ' “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!” '
Following are the attributes of God's Heart:
Love - "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." - 1 John 4:8
Holiness - "Exalt the LORD our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the LORD our God is holy." - Psalm 99:9
Compassion - "The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy." - Psalm 145:8
Forgiveness - "But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth." - Psalm 86:15
Faithfulness - "Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments" - Deuteronomy 7:9
Justice - "But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand." - Isaiah 64:8
and Humility - 'Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time" - 1 Peter 5:5-6

There's a lot of haters out in the world that would like you to deny your Faith! Can you remember what Jesus came and did for us? Will you have the Courage necessary? We all have to check our hearts!
