Something I just found out about is these pictures of the Bible cross references. The stories/information contained within the Bible are referred to in more than one place! So cool! Whenever you go to a verse in BibleHub on the right of the page it will have verses that are found elsewhere in the Bible about the same subject.
If you don't have one yet I strongly suggest you get a Study Bible which has explanations for parts you might not understand at the bottom of the pages. John MacArthur has created Study Bibles and I have one of his! Click on one of the buttons below to go to a store or website to get a Study Bible in the translation that suits you the best. My favorite is the New King James version. I like it the best because I believe it's the closest to the King James version.
Following is an example of just one cross reference!
"For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." - Isaiah 9:6-7
See the Cross References of Isaiah 9:6-7 below:
"This is the record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:"
"Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel" (which means, "God with us").
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me."
"Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord!"
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
"For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet."
"For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility"
